important pre-conference information for delegates

 
We look forward to welcoming you to Glasgow for the 2013 edition of the International Festival of Athletics Coaching – 25-27 October 2013. Event Managers, Mary Anderson and Jamie Bowie, will be on hand during the IFAC weekend to make sure you have an enjoyable Festival weekend
 
EVENT STAFF

Mary Anderson and Jamie Bowie will be your Event Mangers during the IFAC weekend, if you require anything please do not hesitate to contact us during the conference. The IFAC Event Staff will be also be on hand to assist with any queries you may have. The IFAC welcome desk will be situated in the foyer of the Marriott Hotel where there will also be an information Board – please see this for any updates during the weekend

 
VENUES

The conference will be held at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel, 500 Argyle Street, Glasgow, G3 8RR (http://www.marriott.co.uk/hotels/travel/gladt-glasgow-marriott-hotel/) and the Emirates Arena, 1000 London Road, Glasgow, G40 3HY (http://www.emiratesarena.co.uk/visitor-info/Pages/default.aspx).

 

VENUE TRANSFERS

There will be free transfers between the conference venues during the weekend. These will leave the Marriott Hotel to the Emirates Arena at 08h00 and return 17h15.

 
PARKING

Delegates wishing to park at the Marriott Hotel should on arriving give their registration to the Welcome Desk each time they enter the Hotel car park. There should be adequate parking at the Emirates Arena on Saturday.

 
MEALS

During the conference lunch will be provided on Saturday 26 October (at the Emirates Arena) and on Sunday 27 October (at the Marriott Hotel).

Delegates are also invited to the Gala Reception, sponsored by the Glasgow Marriott and Glasgow Lord Provost, this will be held in the Clyde Suite Lounge at the Marriott Hotel on Friday 25 October at 19h00.

There will be a European Coaches’ Reception, sponsored by EACA, held on Saturday 26 October at 20h15 in the Waverley Suite at the Marriott Hotel. This if free to all EACA and £5.00 to non-members. Please collect your tickets at the Welcome Desk.

If you have any special dietary requirements please notify Jamie Bowie () before the conference.

 
 

AIRPORT TRANSFERS

Please ensure you have forwarded your travel information to Mary Anderson to enable transfers to take place from Glasgow International Airport to the Marriott Hotel. Return flight times will posted on the information board at the Welcome Desk from Sunday morning. 

 
 
BREAKOUTS

On your delegate badge which you will receive on arrival, will be displayed the breakout choices you have indicated you wish to attend, however if you have not returned these options, please contact us at the welcome desk on arrival to find available breakout sessions to attend.

 

scottishathletics Annual Awards Dinner

On Saturday 25 October scottishathletics will be holding their Annual Awards Dinner with Guest of Honour, former Olympic Decathlete Dean Macey. Should you wish to attend this please contact Mary Anderson as soon as possible or on arrival at the welcome desk – tickets for this are £40 per person
